There is al lot of information in books about what is important by choosing the right sailboat for cruising sailing. First I was sure that a heavy, stable steel-yacht would be the right choose for me. A boat that gives me trust and can handle all conditions especially strong winds and high waves…
But I changed my mind and in I bought a TRIMARAN.
It’s a 35 year old 27 foot long Trimaran. It’s hull was constructed by Quorning in Denmark, the interior and finish is self-build. Quorning produced this Trimarans under the name Trident 27 and it’s the previous model of the dragonfly 800.
I’m not sure if it was the right decision and if this trimaran is seaworthy and stable enough for to conquer the wide open oceans of this planet, but for sure it will be a lot of fun to sail this craft and let’s see how far I come.
